Ze noemden hem "Ui", Ulrich Franzen (54), wijnproducent uit Bremm, laat niet alleen zijn familie, vrienden en kennissen in een zwart gat achter, de hele wijnwereld zal hem ver buiten de Moezel missen.

Zondag 6 juni jl. maakte The Wine & Food Association de Roséwijnen van het Jaar bekend. De uitreiking van de awards vond traditiegetrouw plaats tijdens het Nederlands Wine & Food Festival, in de St. Olofskapel van het NH Barbizon Palace te Amsterdam.

"Goldrush" for Germany's white wines

German wine producers emerged as one of the big winners in this year's International Wine & Spirits Competition as the Northern Hemisphere results were announced today at the London International Wine Fair. German wines won a total of 21 gold medals in this year's Competition, with 18 receiving the top honour of Gold (Best in Class), up from a total of 12 gold medals in 2009.
